An edit judged before it is made
Checkedconfirmed by its owner
sheriff guard builds the file as the edit would leave it, without writing it to disk.
- Each changed line counts for the symbol it stands in, and a line holding a tag for the symbol the tag marks (§s-2x58az67bm6cxq2).
- The tags of each changed symbol are looked up among the sids the tests of the working tree carry, the edited file as it would stand included.
- A node the edit leaves checked is looked up in the confirmations: the latest line for the fingerprint of its wording must name its owner (§s-95w92rnjuv3sst8).
- An edit of a file the settings name as the code of a project's own check or generator is refused where no test of the working tree carries the sid of the rule listing it (§s-sfjka4zc4rhfu67).
- An edit of
specs/_confirmations.jsonlis refused whatever it changes, sincesheriff confirmrecords a confirmation and its withdrawal (§s-v4qus7raqnwzneb).

- Problem
The check before an edit did not look at an edit of the confirmations themselves.
- Ruling
Following the owner's ruling on §s-83ev4wwesbwnhnp: an edit of the confirmations' file is refused whatever it changes, sheriff confirm being what records a confirmation and its withdrawal.
The tests bound to it
